Join us for a Faculty Conversation: “Be the Boss of Your Data” featuring Marge Geiger, PhD., Professor of English on Thursday, March 5th from 1-3pm at Eastern Campus, ELA 230.
Marge will present some of the data from the first few semesters of English bridge courses at Eastern Campus. We’ll consider when and how considering course outcome information can inform an instructor’s practice and course design.
We’ll review the request procedure for gathering data in various forms from the College’s Institutional Research area. A representative from Evidence and Inquiry will give us background on what information is available and what faculty might want to consider when structuring inquiries.
In small groups, faculty members will brainstorm ideas for requesting and using data on their own sections toward their own instructional goals. Each attendee will leave with concrete ways to move forward on ideas.
This event carries one service credit. Please register in TEC.
