Faculty have access to a number of technologies to support their teaching, such as Respondus & StudyMate, WebEx, Adobe Presenter, and SoftChalk.
Respondus & StudyMate
Respondus is a tool for creating and managing exams. These exams can be published directly to Blackboard or printed to paper. Respondus can be used to create exams or to import them from Microsoft Word, or other formats such as CSV or RTF.
It’s available for your home computers: download the software from the Blackboard page for your home computer. View this video on importing questions into Respondus and see their whole library of videos.
You can also take free webinars from Respondus/StudyMate
WebEx is an online meeting solution that can be used to communicate via audio, video, chat, and document sharing. The College provides WebEx to all faculty and staff to create their own online meetings, to which anyone can be invited. We look forward to finding new and innovative ways online meetings can work in and out of the classroom.
For more information about Web Ex visit the College’s WebEx information page.
Adobe Presenter enables you to use Microsoft PowerPoint (Windows only) to narrate, add video and animation, and convert your presentations into dynamic, interactive multimedia content.
This video introduces version 10. Install Presenter 10 from the Software Center in your Start Menu > All Programs > Tri-C Resources.
